Flyte Club is back!
Flyte Club wine classes cover the basics of wine in the relaxed, casually elegant environment that only Nashville's favorite wine bar can provide! Spend your Tuesday evenings this Fall with friends old and new drinking wine and learning all you ever wanted to about finding, ordering and tasting the world's most fascinating and romantic beverage. Classes will be taught by Nashville's most knowledgeable and fun wine geeks with our singularly Flyte attitude: Passionate and non-pretentious... and always with a sense of humor.
$25 per 90 minute class (includes wine and cheese!) Maximum 25 guests per class.
Classes will be on Tuesdays and begin promptly at 6:30.
Our six week journey through the world of wine begins Tuesday, September 10th so click here to sign up now or call 615-255-6200.
"Just the Basics, Please"
Learn all the interesting facts about the history of wine and how it's made. Discover the differences between white, red and rose (other than color); basic grape varieties; how to taste wine, and all the tricks you need to decipher that confusing wine label! Learn the basics of wine vocabulary and even how to spot a bargain!
"The World of Wine"
We'll cover the fundamentals of the world's most famous and infamous wine regions. What countries grow which grapes the best and why that won't ever change, the difference between shiraz and syrah, and just what is an Appellation, anyway?
"All Roads Lead to France"
Our journey through the world's great wine countries begins with the country famous for nothing BUT wine and cheese! (ok, and a bicycle race... and maybe an art museum... and a giant particle collider... and a fashion show or something like that.)
"A Taste of Italy"
Next we'll explore the most intriguing, passionate and confusing wine country of them all! More grapes, more history, and even more laws than any wine-producing country on earth!
"USA, USA, USA!"
The most relevant country on our tour (perhaps cause its where we live?) is perhaps the most exciting. We'll take a look at the American Wine Revolution and its effect on wine everywhere (even Tennessee!)
" La Dolce Vino"
Saving the best for last! Even the most finicky person loves dessert, and we learn all the "need to know" stuff about the sweet wines of the world. Then we finish up our course with a quick guide to Food and wine pairing. After this class you'll know what to order-and what NOT to order with your favorite dishes.
Attend all six classes and you'll be able to host your own wine dinner with style or maybe even open your own wine bar!
We're looking forward to another great Flyte Club series. See you this Fall!
