Flyte: Nashville's Fine Dining & Wine Experience

Attire:
Flyte is a casual, yet elegant fine-dining experience. While there is no formal dress code, we recommend classy-casual attire.

Atmosphere:
Located between the bustling downtown district and the hip, upcoming neighborhood of The Gulch, the vibe of the Flyte dining room is comfortable and inviting. Whether you're aiming to impress out-of-town guests, linger over a romantic dinner a deux or just craving a fantastic burger in the lounge, we're happy to accommodate your wishes. Our entire staff aims to provide a sophisticated and delightful experience and will settle for nothing less than the complete satisfaction of our guests. When our dining room is full, the noise level can be described as "lively" and "energetic" and not "intimate" or "quiet." Expect to be able to enjoy casual conversation during dinner with a background of ambient, eclectic music.

Cuisine:
Executive Chef Christopher Stallard utilizes modern techniques showcasing the wealth of world-class products local to Middle Tennessee. Our menu is designed for three or four course meals, so you can expect portion sizes to be conservative and paced out thoughtfully. Be sure to make your server aware of any dietary restrictions; we're happy to provide variations based on your needs.

Wine:
Wine Director and Co-owner Scott Sears and Assistant Wine Director Scott Collins have compiled a superb high-value selection of delicious and often unfamiliar wines from around the globe, the majority of which are available by the glass. Flyte's wine list has been celebrated by both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast Magazines, as well as consistently topping the reader and editorial polls of The Nashville Scene, Nashville Lifestyles and Open Table. Scott and Scott aim to provide guests with the opportunity to explore wines they've never tasted or even heard of before, or to get to know wines that are variations on their favorites. We seek out wines that are not price-inflated due to fame, brand or rating. Expect to find plenty of options in the $45-$70 per bottle range. We do not pour the typical $5-$7 glasses of wine available in most restaurants. Our by-the-glass program is composed of the very same wines on our by-the-bottle list and are priced accordingly. Our glass pours are large (6 oz) and the average glass of wine is $15. There are only few wines on the list over $100 a bottle, on our Celebration List. Sales and alcohol tax are already included in all of our glass and bottle prices.

Service:
Our highly knowledgeable staff has been carefully selected in order to elevate your dining experience and enhance your enjoyment of Flyte. Our staff are friendly and attentive without crossing the line into formal or stuffy. You can expect a dinner to take one and a half to two hours, but we can speed things up or slow down at your request. Dinner for larger groups will take a bit longer. When you make your reservation, let us know if you are attending an event after supper or have any other timing requirements.

Lounge
In addition to providing a world-class fine dining experience, Flyte also features a casual lounge and patio. Bar Manager Doc Downs offers a creative cocktail menu and one of the city's finest beer selections. The lounge menu takes an upscale twist on traditional bar food and is updated regularly. Happy Hour is a popular destination for the after-work crowd, particularly on the patio when the weather is nice.

A few important notes:
  • Flyte would not be considered "kid-friendly." Children are welcome, but we do not provide specialized menus, furniture or distractions appropriate for small children.
  • We firmly believe that a clean and fresh palate is paramount to the enjoyment of your dining experience; therefore, Flyte is a non-smoking restaurant and bar.
  • We ask that all guests silence their cell phones during their visit. We have provided a cell-phone booth near the host desk for your privacy and convenience.
